Tom Holland has addressed speculation about his marriage to Zendaya in a new interview with Esquire. The actor, who stars alongside Zendaya in the upcoming Spider-Man: Brand New Day, spoke about the couple's private relationship and responded to AI-generated images that appeared to show them getting married.
Holland revealed that his grandmother had seen the fake wedding photos and thought she had not been invited. When asked if he had to clarify with other family members, he said, “No, because they were all there,” seemingly confirming the wedding had taken place. He declined to provide further details, stating, “That’s all you’ll get on that.”
Earlier this year, stylist Law Roach hinted that the couple had secretly married, telling Access Hollywood: “The wedding has already happened. You missed it.” Roach later confirmed the statement was true. Holland and Zendaya have largely kept their relationship out of the public eye since meeting on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming in 2016.
In the interview, Holland opened up about his bond with Zendaya, saying: “I found my person. She’s my best friend, and I’m the happiest I have ever been when I’m with her.” He added that their shared experiences in the entertainment industry allow them to support each other uniquely.
The couple's latest film, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is set for release in UK cinemas on July 31. The trailer shows Peter Parker pining for his former girlfriend MJ, played by Zendaya, and introduces The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) to the big screen.
