Catherine Zeta-Jones Kisses Michael Douglas After 'Exhausting' Thanksgiving
Zeta-Jones & Douglas's Sweet Kiss After Tiring Thanksgiving

Catherine Zeta-Jones and her husband, Michael Douglas, shared a tender moment following what the actress described as an 'exhausting' Thanksgiving holiday. The loved-up display was captured in photos the star posted on her Instagram.

A Stylish Date Night After the Holiday Rush

The 56-year-old actress looked effortlessly chic for what appeared to be a date night with her husband. She wore a sleek black leather jacket paired with matching trousers and a green blouse, accessorising with a black clutch bag and a ponytail. Michael Douglas, 81, looked equally dapper in a sharp black suit, shirt, and shoes.

In the caption accompanying the cosy snap where she is seen kissing Michael, Zeta-Jones wrote, 'I am exhausted, wiped out, pooped from being in the kitchen all Thanksgiving. I need a year to recover.'

Celebrating 25 Years of Marriage

This sweet moment comes just a month after the Hollywood power couple celebrated a significant milestone: their 25th wedding anniversary. To mark the occasion in November, Catherine shared several nostalgic throwback photos from their wedding day at The Plaza Hotel in November 2000.

She penned a heartfelt message alongside the images, reminiscing, 'Twenty five years ago today, I walked down the aisle. The intoxicating aroma of flowers, the glow of the candles, the resounding harmonious Welsh choir and you at the end of the long walk waiting for me, looking at me the way only you can.' She concluded, 'I love you today as I did then. Thank you sweetheart.'

Fellow celebrities, including actress Joy Sunday and actor Emilio Rivera, flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages for the pair's silver anniversary.

A Relationship Forged in Strength

The couple's enduring bond has been tested and strengthened over the years, notably when Michael Douglas was diagnosed with stage IV squamous cell carcinoma oral cancer in 2010. He was given the diagnosis after suffering from a persistent sore throat.

Thankfully, Douglas beat the disease a year later in 2011 and has remained cancer-free since. Reflecting on his health battle in a 2019 interview, he told People Magazine, 'I believe, and I hope, that I've escaped. One thing is certain, my cancer has made me a free man.' The couple, who welcomed their son Dylan before marrying, continue to present a united and affectionate front to the world.
