Stars descended on London's Royal Festival Hall for the British Academy Television Awards on Sunday, May 10, 2026. The star-studded event saw hit shows such as Adolescence, Amandaland, and Celebrity Traitors battle it out for the top prizes, with Greg Davies set to host.
Red Carpet Arrivals
Leading the early arrivals was Vogue Williams and her husband Spencer Matthews, following the news that the couple are expecting their fourth child. The pregnant presenter showed off her bump in a white lace dress and debuted her new fringed hairstyle as she posed with her dapper spouse.
With just weeks to go until the birth of her second child, Laura Whitmore arrived on the red carpet, showing off her bump in a cream gown before posing with her husband Iain Stirling. Following the news that she's expecting her second child, Scarlett Moffatt showed off her growing bump in a chic brown gown.
Una Healy caught the eye in a cropped yellow top and a pale blue skirt, sweeping her glossy red tresses into a sleek bun. Georgia Harrison amped up the glamour in a blue velvet gown with corset body, gold embroidery, and a fishtail skirt. Ashley James was among the first to arrive, stunning in a dazzling silver chainmail gown.
The Traitors star Rachel Duffy posed up a storm in an elegant pale blue gown with a matching jewelled clutch bag. The mother-of-three joined Stephen Libby making short history, as they became the first pair of traitors to triumph on the show earlier this year. Hollyoaks star Jorgie Porter left little to the imagination in a sheer silver gown as she graced the red carpet with her fiancé Oliver Piotrowski.
Shona McGarty dazzled in a glitzy black sequinned gown with a dramatic skirt. Model Chloe Lloyd and her husband Josh Cuthbert enjoyed a date night together on the star-studded red carpet. Tasha Ghouri was joined by her boyfriend Cam Whitnall as they arrived, with the Strictly Come Dancing star posing up a storm in a sheer cream gown adorned with diamante detailing. Lewis Cope cut a dapper figure in a sharp white blazer for the event.
Marisha Wallace posed up a storm in a dramatic gold metallic gown as she arrived ahead of the ceremony. Angellica Bell arrived in a semi-sheer black spotted gown, enjoying a reunion with Stephen Mulhern years after their children's TV heyday. Love Island's Shakira Khan arrived in a glitzy yellow gown adorned with silver sequins and a flowing train. Waterloo Road star Tillie Amartey was a vision in a bright yellow strapless gown. What It Feels Like for a Girl star Alex Thomas-Smith caught the eye in a black PVC gown, while Jodie McCallum commanded attention in a bold teal satin frilled gown.
Ceremony and Nominations
The BAFTA Television Awards were hosted by Greg Davies and broadcast at 7pm on BBC One and BBC iPlayer. Nominations were announced in March, with Stephen Graham leading the way with a total of 11 nominations for his drama Adolescence and seven for his Disney+ series A Thousand Blows. The series, created by actor Stephen, 52, and writer Jack Thorne, tells the story of British teenager Jamie Miller, who is found guilty of murdering a female classmate after being sucked in by the manosphere online. Each episode is filmed in one continuous shot and has been widely praised for addressing topics such as online radicalisation and misogyny.
Adolescence is up for Limited Drama and Leading Actor, including the Craft Awards. Stars Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper, Ashley Walters, Erin Doherty, and Christine Tremarco are also all up for awards. Stephen will compete against Lockerbie's Colin Firth, The Death of Bunny Munro's Matt Smith, and Smoke's Taron Egerton in the Leading Actor category. Ashley, 43, will face his co-star Owen, 16, in the Supporting Actor category, alongside Mobland's Paddy Considine, The Death of Bunny Munro's Rafael Mathe, The Gold's Joshua McGuire, and Down Cemetery Road's Fehinti Balogun. Erin, 33, will be up against The White Lotus's Aimee Lou Wood, co-star Christine, Get Millie Black's Chyna McQueen, Task's Emilia Jones, and Rose Ayling-Ellis in Reunion as Leading Actress, the first time she has been nominated in the category.
Network Nominations
While Netflix has a total of 29 nominations, it is the BBC that has the highest number, with 73 in total, five of which are for The Celebrity Traitors. The show became the highest-rated show on British TV last year, with host Claudia Winkleman up for a chance at taking home a gong in the best Entertainment Programme section. Prime Video's Last One Laughing will compete against the all-stars version of The Traitors, with show star Bob Mortimer up for best Entertainment Performance.
Before the ceremony, Fleur East and Roman Kemp presented live on the red carpet on BAFTA's YouTube. The Celebrity Traitors star Cat Burns performed 'How To Be Human', while for the In Memoriam, Norwegian singer-songwriter AURORA performed 'Through the Eyes of a Child' from BAFTA-nominated Netflix series Adolescence.
Special Awards
The BAFTA Fellowship was presented to Dame Mary Berry DBE, and Martin Lewis CBE received the BAFTA Television Special Award. Dame Mary Berry DBE said of the honour: 'I couldn't believe it was true, what a huge honour to be presented with the BAFTA Fellowship. For over 50 years, I have enjoyed every moment of teaching my passion on television and I thank all the generous professionals along the way who have given me guidance and support - and I am still learning.
