Guests at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's wedding have described the ceremony as "moving" and "intimate," despite being held at New York's Madison Square Garden with an estimated 1,000 attendees. The pop star and NFL player, both 36, tied the knot on Friday evening in a secretive event officiated by actor Adam Sandler.
Celebrity Guests and Special Performances
Among the star-studded guest list were Gigi Hadid, Bradley Cooper, Graham Norton, Ed Sheeran, Hugh Grant, Ethan Hawke, Reese Witherspoon, Brad Pitt, Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and many others. The couple enforced a strict "no-phones" policy, but details have since emerged. Speaking on Good Morning America, host George Stephanopoulos called the wedding "moving" and "so beautiful," adding, "It's hard to imagine that a place that big and a wedding with such stars could feel so personal and intimate." Co-host Robin Roberts noted the event felt like "any wedding that you would attend" and confirmed a special performance by Stevie Nicks. Michael Strahan revealed the couple "wrote their own vows" and kept them in "little books" for the ceremony.
Wedding Details and Keepsakes
Kelce's brother Jason's young daughters served as flower girls, while Swift walked down the aisle to a string quartet playing one of her own songs. Guests received a lace handkerchief as a keepsake, featuring the couple's wedding logo—two overlapping T's framed by hearts—along with the date July 3, 2026, and New York City. A lyric from Swift's 2014 song Blank Space read: "So it's gonna be forever…" Sports commentator Rich Eisen wrote on Instagram: "Quite the NYC night. Storybook doesn't do the expression of love we witnessed justice."
Post-Wedding and Charitable Donations
Clean-up began Saturday at the arena, with crews dismantling the wedding set-up, including monogrammed pieces, bars, booths, and decorative trees. A massive tent outside the venue was also removed. The couple announced their engagement in August 2025 via Instagram, writing: "Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married." Ahead of the wedding, they donated $26 million (£19.4 million) to 20 charities, including nine food banks, an animal cruelty organization, seven educational programs, and three children's hospitals.
