Strictly's Layton Williams Issues Warning to 2025 Cast Before Blackpool Return
Layton Williams warns Strictly 2025 cast ahead of return

West End sensation Layton Williams, who became a household name after reaching the Strictly Come Dancing final in 2023, is set for a spectacular return to the iconic dancefloor this weekend.

A Stark Warning for the Current Cast

Ahead of his comeback during the milestone Blackpool week, Williams has issued a candid piece of advice to the current crop of celebrities battling it out in the 2025 series. Speaking about their progress, he acknowledged their talent but highlighted the immense challenge that lies ahead.

"They're all killing it to be honest," Williams said, "so all I'd say is just enjoy the ride and book yourself a holiday in January - because you'll have earned it!" This warning underscores the gruelling nature of the competition as the final draws nearer.

An Honoured Return to Blackpool

Williams, who danced with professional partner Nikita Kuzmin, expressed his sheer excitement about returning to the Blackpool Tower Ballroom, a venue he never thought he'd grace again.

"Oh my gosh I'm so gassed to be back," he exclaimed. "I never thought I'd dance at the Blackpool Tower Ballroom ever again, so to be invited back is an honour." He is scheduled to perform in a group routine with other former finalists during the special episode.

The Stakes in Blackpool

The Blackpool week is a pivotal moment in the Strictly Come Dancing calendar, signalling that the grand final is just around the corner. The remaining celebrities will be pulling out all the stops to impress judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood, Anton Du Beke, and Motsi Mabuse on the famous bouncy floor.

This weekend's line-up includes West End star Amber Davies, Emmerdale's Lewis Cope, EastEnders' Balvinder Sopal, Lioness Karen Carney, Alex Kingston, and Youtuber George Clarke.

However, the competition will proceed without Ru Paul's Drag Race star La Voix, who revealed a sustained injury earlier this week. In a BBC statement, La Voix said, "My heart truly breaks knowing I won’t be dancing in such an iconic venue... my focus now is on recovery." As per Strictly rules, she will receive a bye into the following week.

Strictly Come Dancing returns tonight on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 6:35pm.
