Oasis fans have been treated to the first trailer for a major new documentary film, Don't Look Back in Anger, which will feature the first joint interview between brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher since their reunion was confirmed. The teaser trailer was released on Saturday afternoon by Disney+, exactly one year after Oasis made their live comeback with the opening night of their Live '25 tour in Cardiff.
Film Title and Release Details
The documentary title, Don't Look Back in Anger, nods to one of the band's most iconic anthems. The film will premiere in select IMAX screens and cinemas worldwide from September 11, with streaming on Disney+ internationally and on Hulu and Disney+ in the U.S. later this year. No further details on locations or booking dates have been announced yet.
The documentary comes from Magna Studios and Sony Music Vision, created by Peaky Blinders writer, producer, and director Steven Knight, and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace.
Content and Access
Billed as "an unapologetically uplifting account of the biggest musical event of 2025," the film captures the experience and emotions of the band and their fans worldwide. It includes unprecedented access to rehearsals, backstage, and onstage moments, as well as the first joint interviews with Noel and Liam in over 20 years. According to Steven Knight, "The Oasis world tour united generations, cultures and countries and spoke to a broken world about reconciliation. Don't Look Back in Anger is not only your ticket to the show – it's a backstage pass and a seat at the table when Liam and Noel sit down together for the first time in 15 years and tell it how it is and how it was."
Trailer Highlights
The 47-second trailer opens with snapshots from the highly anticipated gigs last summer, showing huge venues filled with excited fans. Noel is heard saying, "I just don't see myself on stage, with Liam, I just don't see it," and adds, "It's going to be chaos."
Future Plans and Speculation
Amid the documentary news, speculation is rife about the band's next move. Multiple sources have told the Manchester Evening News that a 12-night residency is being planned at Manchester's Etihad Stadium in 2027, as part of a major world tour. A music industry insider told the MEN: "It will be 12 nights at the Etihad Stadium across May and June. It's just massive for Manchester and for the local economy. They could even add more dates to that as well, there's talk of up to 20. The wider tour is also going to include a return to Knebworth."
