A fragrance expert with over 100 perfumes in their collection has declared Kayali's new Freedom Musk Matcha as the ultimate cosy scent. The expert, who has tried countless fragrances, found the perfect travel-size option in Kayali's latest range.
Kayali, known for its gourmand scents, has reimagined its classic Musk fragrance into four variations under the 'Freedom' line. Available in £28 10ml bottles individually or as a set for £88, the range launched exclusively on Sephora. Larger 50ml (£79) and 100ml (£111) bottles of Musk Santal are also available.
The expert had previously found Sabrina Carpenter's Me Espresso (£24.99) too sweet and struggled to find a 10ml bottle of Maison Margiela's Coffee Break. The Freedom collection provided the cosy scent they were seeking, with Freedom Musk Matcha being the standout. Described as warm, cosy and perfectly sweet, it features top notes of matcha with a heart of oat milk, praline, coffee and vanilla.
Freedom Musk Latte was a close runner-up, though spicier than preferred, and is likened to Jazz Club (£62). Freedom Musk Santal will appeal to fans of the original musk, though the expert wished it were sweeter. Freedom Musk Bouquet | 27 was deemed too powdery. Overall, the range is well-executed, with each scent distinct enough to suit different preferences.
