The game is set to receive a significant free content update next month, introducing a brand-new online co-operative mode called Ghost of Yotei Legends.

Ghost of Yotei Legends has been officially scheduled for release on March 10, 2026. This multiplayer game mode will be available exclusively for PlayStation 5 consoles as part of update 1.5. Players will need an active PS Plus subscription to access the mode, but once subscribed, it will be playable at no additional cost.
Game Mode Overview
Ghost of Yotei Legends is an online co-operative experience that draws inspiration from a similar mode featured in the original Ghost of Tsushima game. In this new mode, players will team up with friends to confront supernatural versions of the Yotei Six, key antagonists from the main Ghost of Yotei storyline.
Mission Types and Gameplay
The mode will launch with three distinct mission types designed to offer varied and engaging gameplay:
- Survival: Players must defeat waves of increasingly difficult enemies across four separate maps, testing their endurance and strategic skills.
- Story: This involves completing a series of 12 different missions in co-op. After finishing a set of three missions, players unlock a four-player assault quest that culminates in a boss battle against giant enemies.
- Raid: Scheduled for release in April, this mission type will challenge players to take on formidable foes like the Dragon and Lord Saito in high-stakes encounters.
Character Classes
To enhance the co-operative experience, players will have access to multiple character classes, each with unique abilities and playstyles. The available classes include:
- Samurai
- Archer
- Mercenary
- Shinobi
