Take That Circus Live 2026 Tour: London Show Review

Take That took fans on a trip through more than three decades of pop music as the trio brought their Circus Live 2026 tour to London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Friday.

Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald opened the show beneath a giant balloon arch, before launching into Greatest Day as acrobats and circus performers filled the stage.

Introducing themselves simply as “Hello, I’m Gary”, “I’m Mark” and “I’m Howard”, the trio quickly had the crowd on side, with Barlow asking: “Who in London is ready for some 90s classics?”

Classic Hits and Fan Favourites

The band rolled through early hits including Could It Be Magic before Barlow introduced their “first number one”, while Back For Good prompted one of the night’s biggest singalongs.

Shine marked the trio’s first appearance on the main stage before they continued with Up All Night and Everything Changes, with Barlow joking the audience deserved a “hydration break” between songs.

Circus Spectacle

The circus theme ran throughout the production, with Donald and Owen riding unicycles, Barlow performing on a grand piano, a performer walking a tightrope above the stage and the trio appearing with clown-inspired face paint.

Addressing the crowd, Barlow said: “We’re in this beautiful stadium tonight and to every person, thank you, thank you, thank you for coming and spending Friday night with us.”

Reflections on Longevity

Donald reflected on the band’s longevity, saying: “We can’t believe we got 1990, it’s 2026 and look at this. You guys never let us down.”

Owen added: “There’s a lot of faces we recognise. You’ve been on this journey with us,” before asking how many people were seeing Take That live for the first time.

Newer Material and Closing Hits

The set balanced fan favourites with newer material, before the band revisited the comeback single Patience, which marked their return in 2006 after a decade apart.

The evening concluded with crowd pleasing performances of Relight My Fire and Rule The World.

Tour Details

Take That are currently on their The Circus Live Summer 2026 tour, which sees Barlow, Donald and Owen revive one of the band’s most celebrated live productions. The stadium run began at Southampton’s St Mary’s Stadium in May and continues across the UK and Ireland through early July.

Originally staged in 2009, The Circus Live 2026 revival recreates much of the original circus themed spectacle while adding updated production elements.

Some of the support on the UK dates comes from Irish pop-rock band The Script, who also opened for Take That on the original 2009 Circus tour.
