Aaron Phypers Claims Near-Bankruptcy in Denise Richards Divorce
Aaron Phypers: Broke Amid Denise Richards Divorce

Wellness Expert Pleads Poverty in High-Profile Divorce

Aaron Phypers, the estranged husband of reality television star Denise Richards, has declared himself virtually penniless as their acrimonious divorce proceedings continue. According to legal documents obtained by PageSix, the self-described wellness expert filed an urgent request on Thursday to move up a spousal support hearing, originally scheduled for January 5, 2025, claiming he desperately needs immediate financial assistance.

Mounting Debts and Eviction Threats

In a dramatic claim detailed within the court paperwork, Phypers stated he is on the verge of being evicted from his home. He reportedly owes a staggering $125,000 in back rent alongside $10,090 in overdue Homeowners' Association fees. The financial distress appears severe, with the filing alleging Phypers has been 'begging friends for money to have food to eat' due to having no independent income.

This financial collapse follows the closure of his wellness venture, the Quantum 360 Club, which he shut down a year ago. Phypers previously informed the Daily Mail that he has been unable to secure employment since his business folded, leaving him without a steady source of earnings.

A Contentious Legal Battle

The financial plea is the latest development in a fiercely contested legal separation. Phypers initiated the divorce on July 7, 2025, citing irreconcilable differences and marking their separation date as July 4, 2025, after six years of marriage. The split has been far from amicable.

Recently, Richards was granted a permanent restraining order against Phypers after alleging he abused her on multiple occasions during their marriage. However, Phypers has vehemently denied these accusations. In his own court response filed on September 15, he refuted the claims of domestic violence, stating, 'There is no need for such orders, as I have not abused her and will not abuse her.'

Instead, he has counter-accused Richards of being the 'aggressive one', alleging she has harassed him and his family through frequent calls and messages. He referenced a specific incident on August 3, where he claims she forcibly entered his brother's private living space.

Phypers has argued to the judge that Richards, whom he describes as the sole income earner after she allegedly prevented him from working, should be the one providing spousal support. This follows a previous request where he asked the court to compel Richards to pay him $150,000 to cover his living expenses, a request which TMZ reports she urged the judge to refuse.

The couple, who married in a 2018 ceremony featured on Bravo's The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, now find themselves locked in a legal dispute characterised by serious allegations and pressing financial demands.
