Pete Davidson Recalls Grandfather Catching Him Watching Gay Porn at Age 8
Pete Davidson Grandfather Caught Him Watching Gay Porn

Pete Davidson has opened up about an unsavory childhood memory in which his grandfather caught him viewing a gay porn video. The 32-year-old comedian, who is rumored to have split from girlfriend Elsie Hewitt, recently shared the story while performing a private set seen in a clip obtained by TMZ.

Accidental Click Leads to Disturbing Discovery

During the bit, Davidson recalled accidentally clicking on a graphic adult scene depicting 'six 70-year-old men' when he was just eight. 'I clicked it, and it was horrible. It's a video of six 70-year-old men, white guys, b***ing each other to the Andy Griffith theme song,' he detailed before whistling the tune. 'I watched the whole thing cuz I was eight, and I was [wondering], "What happens?"' he explained.

Grandfather's Unexpected Arrival

When he heard his grandfather approaching after a Knights of Columbus outing, he shut off the content, but it was too late. His grandfather demanded to see what he had been viewing. The former Saturday Night Live regular told the audience, 'He gets downstairs. He goes, "What are you watching?" I go, "Nothing." He goes, "Come on. Is it our favorite girl?" I go, "That's gross. 'Cause your favorite girl should be grandma."'

Eventually, he said his grandfather 'grabs my neck and he squeezes it.' 'He goes, "Turn on the f***ing screen." So I turn it on and, like an idiot, I turn the volume on, too – I don't know why... I guess I wanted him to have the full experience,' he shared.

Violent Reaction and Family Rift

After viewing the video, Davidson said his grandfather 'punched the screen, and he broke my computer and then he about faced.' 'He turned away from me, and he went, "Peter, we are never to speak of this,"' the stand-up comic ended the shocking story. He didn't say which side of the family the grandparent in the story was, but the admission comes nearly one year after the actor discussed his maternal grandfather in a different live set.

Previous Allegations of Abuse

Davidson revealed at the time, 'He got the lung cancer and I'm not that close with him. I'm close with my dad's dad. I don't like my mom's dad.' The Bupkis star then made the shock allegation: 'He used to beat the s*** out of me, and I don't like him very much.' He went on to describe his grandfather: 'He's old school, he's very Irish. You know those old Irish Jews that are so Irish, they're like pink, right? His veneers are somehow brown. He's just an old school dude, and he's dying.'

Davidson's paternal grandfather, Stephen Davidson, has a close relationship with the actor and was even featured in his 2020 film The King Of Staten Island. He continued: 'I want to be there for my mom. She's sad about it.' But Davidson added, contrarily, 'I'm low-key thrilled. I'm like, die slow, motherf**er.' Pete explained that his grandfather has emphysema, a chronic lung disease that makes it difficult to breathe, and told the audience that he hopes his grandpa 'f**king rots.'
