American superstar Pitbull brought his I'm Back tour to Blackweir Fields in Cardiff, drawing 35,000 fans who transformed the park into a sea of bald caps and suits, mimicking the rapper's trademark look. The concert was the finale of Blackweir Live 2026, which attracted over 160,000 music fans across multiple headliners including The Cure, Teddy Swims, and Lewis Capaldi.
Pitbull's Welsh Greeting and 90-Minute Set
Opening the night, Pitbull told the crowd: "It's an honour and a blessing to be here tonight. We appreciate the love here in Cardiff. They told me backstage that to say thank you here in Wales I need to say 'diolch', so diolch very much, I appreciate it. Now, we all know what we came here to do tonight – it's simple – we came here to PARTY!!" After the crowd corrected his pronunciation, Mr Worldwide said he was determined to get it right. He then delivered a non-stop 90-minute set featuring all his greatest hits, including Timber, Don't Stop The Party, Hotel Room Service, Damn I Love Miami, Gasolina, International Love, and Fireball.
Fan Atmosphere and Flash Mobs
The day began with Pitbull flash mobs in St David's Shopping Centre, and bald caps were handed out so fans could embrace Mr Worldwide's signature look. The atmosphere at Blackweir Fields was electric, with many fans also donning aviators, inflatable globes, and crisp white shirts. Support acts included Fuze ODG and Lil Jon, whose cover of Eminem's Lose Yourself had the crowd screaming every lyric. A DJ set preceded Pitbull's performance, and he was joined on stage by his dancers, The Most Bad Ones.
