JoJo Siwa has fuelled speculation about a romance with Celebrity Big Brother co-star Chris Hughes after dropping fresh hints during a speaking event at Stanford University. The 21-year-old American singer and the 32-year-old British TV personality formed a close bond on the ITV reality show last month, but have insisted they are 'just friends'.
During a Q&A at Stanford Speakers Bureau for 'A Night with JoJo Siwa', the Dance Moms star was asked how she sees the relationship progressing. She replied: 'I mean look, we have the absolute most fun together and he is an absolute gem that's come into my life.' She added: 'Genuinely something I love about him so much is that he has zero ego, he's a really incredible sweet man.'
Siwa also revealed she told Hughes he was 'a vital part of my life that I didn't know was missing'. When the audience reacted with cheers, she said: 'Don't let him see this it will boost his ego!' Confirming he is not going anywhere, she said: 'He's a keeper, we'll keep him around, we'll see.'
Earlier, on TikTok, Siwa responded to fans who expressed support for the pair. When one wrote 'The UK is rooting for you and Mr Hughes JoJo', she replied with three red heart emojis. To another comment saying 'Your glowing Joella, so happy!!! Loved the speech you gave Chris we're all rooting for you both', she wrote 'Thank you'. A fan suggesting a 'JoJo and Chris spin off' received a praying hands emoji in response.
Hughes recently dropped out of the upcoming series of Celebs Go Dating, adding to speculation about his relationship with Siwa. The pair have maintained they are just friends since leaving the Big Brother house, but their recent interactions suggest otherwise.
