Emma Willis' future on the hit dating show Love Is Blind UK has been confirmed following her recent appointment as a host of Strictly Come Dancing. The television presenter, who co-hosts the Netflix series with her husband Matt Willis, was announced last week as one of the new faces of the BBC dance competition, alongside Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe.
Emma Willis to Continue on Love Is Blind UK
Despite taking on the role previously held by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman on BBC One, Emma, 50, will continue to appear on Love Is Blind UK. Netflix has confirmed that she and Matt will remain as hosts of the show, which they have presented together since 2024 and is scheduled to return in 2026. This comes after much speculation about her future on the streaming service.
Josh Widdicombe Balances Roles
Comedian Josh Widdicombe, 43, will also continue his work on Channel 4's The Last Leg, as it does not conflict with filming for Strictly Come Dancing. Speaking about his new role, Josh expressed excitement despite feeling out of place alongside his striking co-hosts.
Reactions to the New Hosting Line-Up
Emma shared her feelings in a video last week, saying: 'I still can't find words because my tummy is just flipping consistently. I imagine it's how you feel when you know you've got to walk down the stairs dancing the cha cha and everything goes to jelly.' Josh added: 'I've just realised that I've been booked to present something with two of the most striking people on television, and I look like me. Absolute disaster.'
On his podcast Parenting Hell, Josh joked with co-host Rob Beckett about being 'the runt of the litter' and said: 'I'm a weird-looking little guy. I realised I've been cast with two of the most striking looking people on television.' Rob warned potential trolls that he would defend his co-host.
Tradition-Busting Decision
After 22 years of a two-person hosting team, BBC bosses made a tradition-busting decision to have three hosts for Strictly Come Dancing. The trio were announced last Tuesday, ending weeks of speculation.
