Emmerdale's Mack Boyd Alive but in Peril in New Twist

Emmerdale viewers were stunned on Friday when it was revealed that Mackenzie Boyd, presumed dead, is actually alive. The soap has now released a first-look image showing Mack handcuffed, dirty, and attached to an IV drip in a hidden room.

In Friday's episode, John Sugden uncovered a door beneath leaves where fans initially thought Mack was buried. Inside, Mack was found lying on the floor in pain. The new image shows him looking worse for wear, chained up and hooked to medical equipment.

A trailer shows Mack waking up, remembering the attack, and screaming for help. John tells him he is safe, but Mack accuses him: "You tried to kill me, just like you killed Nate."

Actor Lawrence Robb, who plays Mack, commented: "I'm glad the secret that Mack isn't quite dead (yet) is over. I have felt slightly deceitful over the last two weeks." He added: "Hopefully the jeopardy of Mack's position will keep the audience gripped."

Fans on social media speculate that Mack may still die. One wrote: "What if Mack is alive today but will die later on screen?" Another responded: "Give it time."

Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays.
