New Robin Hood Series with Sean Bean: Release Date and Cast Revealed

The legend of Robin Hood returns in a new television adaptation, promising a 'smart, sweeping, romantic adventure' with a focus on the relationship between Robin and Marian. Created by John Glenn, the series aims to bring 'historical authenticity and psychological depth' to the classic tale.

Australian actor Jack Patten leads the cast as Robin Hood in his first major TV role, while Lauren McQueen stars as Marian. Sean Bean plays the Sheriff of Nottingham, with Lydia Peckham as Priscilla of Nottingham. Other cast members include Steven Waddington as the Earl of Huntingdon, Marcus Fraser as Little John, Angus Castle-Doughty as Friar Tuck, Henry Rowley as Will, and Connie Nielsen as Eleanor of Aquitaine.

The ten-episode first season will premiere on MGM+ in the UK with a double-bill on Sunday, November 2. Subsequent episodes will air weekly on Sundays until the finale on December 28.
