A host of famous faces were spotted at the F1 Silverstone circuit in Northampton ahead of the British Grand Prix on Sunday, July 5, including Adele, Tinie Tempah, Lewis Capaldi, Jeremy Clarkson, and Hannah Waddingham.
Adele Attends with Her Son
Adele, 38, who recently spoke about her passion for race car driving, was among the earliest celebrities seen in the paddock. She attended the event with her 13-year-old son Angelo, who is reportedly just as enthusiastic about Formula 1. The pair watched as Charles Leclerc secured his first win of the season in a tense race against Andrea Kimi Antonelli, who faltered towards the end.
Other Celebrities at Silverstone
Other famous spectators included Tinie Tempah, Lewis Capaldi, Queen guitarist Brian May, actor Sam Claflin, Rebekah and Jamie Vardy, and Hannah Waddingham. Jeremy Clarkson was also seen on the grid before the race.
Adele's Love for F1
Adele was previously spotted at the US Grand Prix in Austin, Texas, in October last year, where she appeared in pictures alongside Mercedes drivers George Russell and Kimi Antonelli. This week, Adele spoke about sharing her love of F1 with her son. In a video shared by McLaren Racing on Friday, Adele said her son was “really into karting and things like that”.
“He just sort of asked about it a couple of years ago and I was like, ‘Alright’. I don’t know many teenagers now that have an actual passion. So I’m really trying to encourage it,” she said.
“When your kid has an interest, you have to get into it. And more importantly, I think you have to be interested in it.” The singer admitted she did not expect to “bond with my soon-to-be 14-year-old son about something so passionate where we argue about drivers”. “But it’s fun to have that interaction with a teenage boy in 2026. I wasn’t expecting it.”
