Katie Price has candidly spoken about her perimenopause struggle, describing the experience as 'horrible' and 'awful.' The 48-year-old media personality revealed she suffers from brain fog and night sweats so severe she is left 'dripping.'
Perimenopause Symptoms and Brain Fog
In an interview with The Observer, Price confirmed she is perimenopausal, the transitional phase before menopause. 'Yes! The foggy brain, it's awful. I can't even remember my cats' names. And at night, you're not just sweating, you're dripping. It's horrible what us women go through. Periods slowing down,' she said.
Price, who has five children and has been married four times, also reflected on ageing. 'On the outside, I don't look my age. I think age is just a number. It's how you feel, how you approach life. But my body obviously inside is...' she trailed off, wrinkling her nose before adding, 'Ageing.'
Marriage to Lee Andrews and Public Perception
The interview also touched on her whirlwind romance with 'billionaire businessman' Lee Andrews. Photos recently emerged of the couple enjoying a pool in Dubai after Andrews was reportedly released from Al-Awir prison amid fraud allegations, which he denies.
Price acknowledged their polarising public image: 'I know we're the most hated people... actually saying that, people love me as well.' Andrews responded, 'People love you, people hate me,' to which Price said, 'They do hate you.' Andrews added, 'They just don't know the story, do they.' He has offered to take a lie detector test live on TV, claiming there is 'not one shred of evidence' against him.
Journalist's Perspective on Price's Marriage
Journalist Clemmie Moodie, who has known Price for nearly 20 years, shared her thoughts on the swift marriage. Writing in The Sun, Moodie said: 'Nine days later, she got engaged for the ninth time. She married the man in question, Lee Andrews, 24 hours later. It is all so Katie Price.'
Moodie added: 'This, after all, is a woman who loves love. She cannot help herself. Of all her vices - of which we all have many - being a love addict is surely her most endearing. Sure, she doesn't always help herself, and from personal experience the Pricey may not always be right but she IS kind, loyal and, quite simply, desperate to be loved. Aren't we all, deep down?'
