Charlotte Tilbury's £35 Foundation 'Blurs Wrinkles' for Mature Skin

Makeup mogul Charlotte Tilbury has revealed that her Unreal Skin Sheer Glow Tint Hydrating Foundation Stick, priced at £35, was specifically designed with ageing skin in mind. In an interview with The Independent, she explained that as skin matures, fine lines, wrinkles and dehydration can change how makeup applies, leading many to avoid foundation for fear of looking older. The product aims to provide a lifting, smoothing and blurring effect.

The foundation stick features a sheer-to-light, buildable formula containing hyaluronic acid, daikon radish seed oil, Collageneer, and vitamins C and E. These ingredients are intended to strengthen the skin barrier, improve elasticity and firmness, and hydrate and brighten the skin. Available in 20 shades, the product is designed to look natural and create a lit-from-within glow.

A reviewer aged 48 praised the foundation, saying: 'I constantly get comments about how glowy my skin looks. It's light reflection is perfect on more mature skin.' Another shopper noted: 'It’s so nice to skin (mature) no lines, soft and creamy. Blends very well with the skin.' However, some users were less impressed, with one expressing disappointment.

For those seeking alternatives, Dcypher Beauty's My Custom Foundation (£39) uses skin-matching technology, while Kiko Milano's Full Coverage 2-in-1 Foundation and Concealer (£16.79) offers a matte satin finish that works well for mature skin when mixed with moisturiser.
