Medium Travis Holp Reveals How Loved Ones Send Signs From Beyond
Signs from the Other Side: A Medium's Personal Story

For many, the holiday season can heighten the sense of loss for departed family and friends. Travis Holp, a certified medium with nearly a million social media followers, knows this feeling well, but he also experiences a unique form of comfort: direct signs from the other side.

The Penny That Started It All

Holp's own journey with spiritual signs began after his grandmother passed away just after Christmas. Before her death, she would spot heads-up pennies and recite the old adage, 'Find a penny pick it up, and all the day you’ll have good luck.' After she crossed over, these coins began appearing in peculiar places precisely when Holp needed reassurance most.

"I didn’t call it a 'sign' at the time," Holp admits. "I just knew I felt a little less alone." He explains that these moments offered more than hope; they were a validation of continued life and a language his granny used to communicate her enduring presence.

Everyday Symbols of Connection

Through his work with the Forever Family Foundation and thousands of readings worldwide, Holp has identified common signs the departed use. He emphasises that these signals are often subtle, not dramatic.

Butterflies and Transformation

Butterflies, symbolic of transformation, are a frequent messenger. Holp recalls a client who felt her deceased mother's presence when a butterfly landed on her hand. This mirrors the spiritual belief that physical death is a doorway, not an end, much like a caterpillar becoming a butterfly.

Birds as Messengers

From cardinals to hummingbirds, cultures have long seen birds as carriers of messages from the spirit world. Holp shared an experience from a live show in Los Angeles, where he conveyed a message from a young man to his mother involving a 'flood of cardinals'. The mother confirmed she collected cardinal figurines, seeing each as a connection to her son.

The Gentle Nudge of Deer

Deer, known for their gentleness and sensitivity, reflect spirit's subtle way of nudging us. For one sceptical client, signs from her father escalated from deer in her garden to one pressing its head against her car window—an unmistakable confirmation she could not dismiss.

Numbers, Synchronicity, and Personal Meaning

Holp's personal favourite signs involve numbers and timing. Repeating sequences like 1111 or 333, known as angel numbers, or personally significant digits act as 'loving winks' from beyond. They serve as reminders that we are on the right path and that our loved ones are near.

He describes a recent 'sign walk' in New York City, where, while thinking of his granny amidst holiday decorations, he noticed angel numbers on licence plates. Feeling a nudge to look down, he found a heads-up penny at his feet—a perfect, personal sign.

Holp's advice for those seeking connection is simple: be open to the possibility. "The signs are all around us," he states. While they shouldn't be used to control life, they offer a profound reminder of a divine connection to those in spirit who continue to send love throughout our journey. Travis Holp is the author of the new book 'Are You There, Spirit? It's Me, Travis'.
