Eurovision 2026 LIVE: Boy George and Love Island's Antigoni to Perform but No Scott Mills
It's Eurovision week as the cross-continental song contest takes to Vienna for its annual competition - with Boy George and a Love Islander in tow but without five boycotting countries and former commentator Scott Mills.
Boy George is among the stars competing in the Eurovision 2026 semi-finals, joining San Marino's act Senhit. Meanwhile, Love Island's Antigoni Buxton represents Cyprus in the second semi-final. However, five countries have opted out, and Irish broadcaster RTE has refused to air the event, protesting Israel's continued participation amid its military operations in Gaza since October 2023, which have resulted in over 72,000 deaths according to the Hamas-led health authority.
Scott Mills Dropped from Eurovision Commentary
Scott Mills, the former radio host who served as a UK commentator, has been replaced following his sacking from the BBC. His replacement is Angela Scanlon, former Strictly Come Dancing star, who will join Rylan Clark to guide viewers through the semi-finals live from the Wiener Stadthalle arena in Vienna.
When Will Antigoni and Boy George Perform?
Antigoni Buxton is set to perform in the second semi-final on Thursday, representing Cyprus. Boy George is expected to join San Marino's Senhit towards the end of tonight's first semi-final.
