Sean Fletcher, now 51, began his journalism career producing packages for BBC Radio Wales before moving to London. From 2005 until 2011, he presented sports bulletins on BBC News, and also presented sport on BBC Weekend News and BBC Breakfast.

In October 2011, he left the BBC to join Sky Sports News, where he worked until early 2014. It was then announced that he would become a sports newsreader on the new ITV Breakfast programme Good Morning Britain, where he has now been a presenter for more than a decade.
