The cause of Tom Pardhy's death has not been officially disclosed, but his family has described it as 'sudden, accidental and unexpected'. In a heartfelt Instagram post signed by his mother Joanna, sister Alex, and girlfriend Naomi, the family expressed their grief, stating, 'It is with indescribable grief and sadness that we are writing to tell you of the sudden, accidental and unexpected death of our dear Tom in Bangkok last Friday 6th of March.'
The post highlighted Tom's vibrant presence in his East London community and beyond, noting his involvement in the festival circuit and yoga community. The family requested privacy regarding the circumstances of his death, asking that questions not be posed on social media.
Girlfriend Hospitalised After Alleged Spiking Incident
Naomi Raksha's mother, Heather Brown, posted on Facebook that the couple 'were given spiked drinks in Bangkok'. Naomi was reportedly 'rushed' to hospital in a blue tuk-tuk. A GoFundMe page set up by her brother, celebrity jeweller Jonathan, detailed that Naomi had been 'intubated in ICU due to poisoning and in recovery from a subsequent cardiac arrest'.
Approximately 24 hours after Naomi's hospitalisation, it was learned that Tom was found unresponsive. His death was confirmed on March 11. The Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) has confirmed supporting the family of the British man who died in Thailand and is in contact with local authorities.
Naomi's Harrowing Recovery and Emotional Tribute
In a separate social media post, Naomi Raksha described the traumatic events, revealing she suffered a heart attack and was pronounced dead multiple times before slipping into a coma. She expressed profound gratitude for surviving but also deep grief over losing Tom, whom she called her 'best friend', 'rock', and 'confidant'.
Naomi disclosed that she is currently in a rehabilitation centre, focusing on physical recovery and receiving treatment for grief, PTSD, and trauma. She emphasised the non-linear nature of healing, requiring patience and support.
