Jill Scott and Owen Warner became an unlikely fan-favourite duo during Monday's episode of I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here!, despite their disastrous attempt to spell Coq Au Vin. The pair were tasked with spelling the classic French dish as part of the Spaghetti Crossword challenge, but replaced the 'Q' with a 'K', leaving viewers amused.
Fans took to Twitter to praise the pair's chemistry. One wrote: 'Owen and Jill are the duo we didn't know we needed.' Another echoed: '@_OwenWarner and @JillScottJS8 are the duo we didn't know we needed, but we've got - so funny!'
Scott's mangled attempt at speaking French also drew laughs. One viewer said: 'Jill was me realising that French A-level wasn't for me - "Hi, I'm je m'appele Jill."' Another joked: 'Good job she was good at football... but I love her.'
Despite the spelling fumble, the pair successfully completed the challenge. Meanwhile, ITV reportedly spent £2.1 million on this year's star-studded line-up, one of the biggest in the show's 20-year history, according to a TV insider.
