Katie Miller, wife of White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, has described a tweet from the official Democrats account telling her husband to 'shut up' as 'violent political rhetoric'. The post was a response to Stephen Miller's false claim that Texas State Representative James Talarico is the Democratic Party's first 'transgender Senate candidate'.
Appearing on Fox News' The Ingraham Angle, Katie Miller said: 'This is the same violent political rhetoric that is leading people to shooting up, whether it be the White House Correspondents' Dinner or President Trump in Butler.' She later identified the account holder as Paulina Mangubat, a 30-year-old 'unmarried with no kids', and shared an image of her, calling her a 'sad, unhappy, female Liberal'.
Mangubat responded by posting a photo of herself in a wedding dress, announcing she is getting married. She also wrote: 'Team just ratioed stephen miller, who is ugly, evil, cruel, and bald.' Stephen Miller has since doubled down on his claim, posting that Talarico is 'transitioning'.
California Governor Gavin Newsom weighed in, comparing Miller to the Lord of the Rings character Gollum. Talarico is the Democratic nominee for the 2026 U.S. Senate election in Texas, which coincides with the November midterms.
