Khloe Kardashian Recalls Hurtful Treatment Over Her Fuller Figure
Khloe Kardashian on Hurtful Past Treatment Over Weight

Khloe Kardashian still harbours resentment over how she was treated when she had a fuller figure during her younger years. The 41-year-old star of The Kardashians shared on her Khloe In Wonder Land podcast that she will never forget how many people were 'mean' or 'rude' to her before she slimmed down.

She added that those same individuals were noticeably more pleasant to her thinner sisters, Kim and Kourtney Kardashian. 'When I was chubbier, I used to get very different treatment than [sisters] Kourtney and Kim got,' said the Good American designer.

Kardashian, who reportedly now weighs around 123 lbs, was approximately 160 lbs before she began a regular workout routine in 2013 following her split from husband Lamar Odom. 'When I lost a lot of weight and started looking different, the treatment I started getting was so much better. I remember how gross that made me feel, but I also was like, I see all of you,' she stated.

Unforgettable Treatment

Kardashian emphasised, 'This is a little game and I've never forgotten the ones that were mean or rude to me but great to Kourtney and Kim and I've never f***** with them.' She expressed frustration that people fail to see beyond physical appearance. 'I'm the same person, but aesthetically I look different. Your treatment of me is so vastly different, and it makes me [feel] gross. That's the world that this is, and I don't like that.'

Industry Struggles

Khloe previously opened up about the difficulties she faced in the entertainment industry before her appearance changed, revealing she would often arrive at photoshoots only to find no clothes available in her size. In a 2026 interview with Harper's Bazaar, she explained: 'Even on shoots, I would never have options for clothing. There would always be this attention on Kourtney and Kim, but I was too much work for [stylists] or they had nothing in my size. I wasn't even that crazy big!'

She recalled stylists who outright refused to work with her due to her size: 'Other [stylists] actually said: "I just can't work with you" because I was too big. That always hurt my feelings, of course.'

Refusing to Reward Bad Behaviour

After she slimmed down, some of those same stylists approached her for work, but she declined. 'I'm just like, "F*** you. I'm not going to reward your bad behavior,"' she said.

The reality TV star has since insisted that her preoccupation with weight has changed in recent years, and she no longer worries about numbers on the scales. In an interview with Bustle, she stated: 'Maybe [it's] just being younger, I think you care about the scale. The scale effs with you. I don't even look at a scale anymore. I think it's really unhealthy. I haven't in years. They're just numbers.'
