Strictly Come Dancing professional dancer Nikita Kuzmin appeared on Tuesday's episode of Good Morning Britain, where he was questioned about reports that Dani Dyer might be returning to the BBC One dance competition.
The 28-year-old dancer joined the ITV programme to discuss all things Strictly, as well as his upcoming Supernova dance tour across the UK, featuring special guests such as Karen Hauer and Nadiya Bychkova.
Recent reports have suggested that Dani Dyer, 29, could be ready to return to the BBC contest. The daughter of Danny Dyer was forced to withdraw from last year's competition just moments before the launch show was filmed, following a dramatic and sudden exit caused by a fractured ankle sustained during rehearsals. Now, reports indicate she is in talks for another attempt.
When asked about the speculation that Dani, who was originally partnered with Nikita before her exit, might come back, the professional dancer said: "I don't know. I mean, I wish I would know. But, guys, we honestly don't know anything."
Host Ranvir Singh then noted: "Because, of course, you were meant to be dancing with Dani Dyer last year and in the end, you ended up in the final with Amber Davies, didn't you?" Nikita replied: "Yes, yes, yes, we did!"
Elsewhere during the conversation, Nikita was asked about the new presenting line-up for Strictly Come Dancing. The BBC One dance show announced last week that Emma Willis, 50, Josh Widdicombe, 43, and Johannes Radebe, 39, would be taking over hosting duties from Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman this autumn.
Tess, 57, and Claudia, 54, stepped down from their roles last year. Tess had hosted Strictly since its launch in 2004, while Claudia joined as co-presenter in 2014.
Nikita expressed his excitement about the new hosts: "So excited! You know, obviously, Tess and Claudia are legendary. So, like, to go with Emma, Josh and Jojo is absolutely epic. And plus, Jojo. You know, we know Jojo so well. It's just so, so lovely."
He added regarding whether Johannes would still dance as much now that he is presenting: "Jojo will never stop dancing. You know what I mean? He's Johannes. I mean, I'm sure he will present. Johannes will be fantastic at whatever he does."
Good Morning Britain continues on weekdays at 6am on ITV and ITVX.
