Former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dina Manzo, 44, has spoken publicly for the first time about her new relationship with Dave Cantin, 36. The couple, who reportedly began dating in September 2015, met at a fundraising event for Manzo's charity, Project Ladybug, in 2014.
Manzo told Page Six that Cantin is 'really an awesome person and very caring,' adding that he treats her family well and is a great father to his children. She admitted that after her divorce, she had no intention of falling in love again, but 'some things happen when you're not really looking for it.'
Cantin, a cancer survivor now in remission, separated from his wife in 2014 and filed for divorce in January 2015. Manzo announced her separation from husband Tommy Manzo in February 2015, and their divorce was finalised in April 2016. She has a 17-year-old daughter from a previous marriage.
Despite the new romance, Manzo is not rushing into marriage. 'I'm not even thinking that,' she said. 'We're just having a good time and building our life together.' The reality star has also confirmed she will not return for Season 7 of RHONJ and has relocated to Malibu, California, for a fresh start.
