Strictly's It Takes Two to Get Major Refresh for 2026
Strictly's It Takes Two to Get Major Refresh for 2026

Strictly Come Dancing is set for a major overhaul when it returns in autumn, with a new set, new hosts, and a refreshed spin-off show. The BBC programme will feature three new presenters—Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe—following the departure of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman.

The iconic dance floor backdrop is likely to be replaced by large screens displaying visuals during routines, giving the show a sleeker, more modern look. Sources told The Sun that bosses are not ditching the traditional glitz and sparkle, but rather updating the delivery. The staircase and band will remain, while the Clauditorium is expected to stay the same.

The new set design has been compared to the 2009 revamp of The X Factor, which used giant screens. It has already been trialled on the UK tour of Strictly: The Professionals. Meanwhile, Janette Manrara has confirmed she will not return to the spin-off show It Takes Two, saying in a YouTube video: 'Strictly is all I've known for the last 14 years... I'm free to pursue other projects.'
