President Donald Trump has posted a series of AI-generated memes on Truth Social, including one depicting himself and the Secret Service escorting a muscular alien in handcuffs. The image, shared without a caption, shows the group crossing a military base.
Two further memes portray Trump in a Space Force command centre above Earth, with satellites, asteroids and bombs exploding in the background. The posts follow the Pentagon's declassification of UFO-related material, which some Christian supporters have interpreted as evidence of angels.
Trump also targeted political opponents with AI memes, including one of California Governor Gavin Newsom in a straitjacket, labelled with 'Trump Derangement Syndrome'. Another showed a zombie-like Newsom on a licence plate reading 'NEW-SCM'.
Other posts included statesmanlike photos with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, memes about renovating the Washington Monument's Reflecting Pool, and AI images of drone strikes on Iranian naval vessels. Trump has warned Tehran that 'the clock is ticking' on peace talks.
On Saturday, Trump promoted the idea that he 'ages in reverse', despite recent attention on his health after dozing off at an Oval Office event and showing swollen ankles in Beijing. He is due for a check-up at Walter Reed on May 26.
