Billy Ray Cyrus has defended Donald Trump, saying 'being president's a tough job' in a recent interview with Sky News. The country singer, 64, was asked about Trump's divisive policies after previously endorsing the Republican for the 2024 presidential election.
Cyrus recalled his father's advice: 'When the president asks you to do something, you do it, son.' He added that he has served with multiple presidents from both parties and prays for the country and its leader.
The singer's comments come after a controversial performance at Trump's inaugural ball, which was marred by technical issues and widely criticised online. His son Trace later expressed concern for his father's wellbeing in a public Instagram post.
