Andrew Tate Rejects Chase DeMoor Rematch, Plans Return Against Different Opponent

Andrew Tate has decided not to activate the rematch clause in his contract following his defeat to Chase DeMoor in December. The controversial influencer lost on points in his Misfits Boxing debut in Dubai, but will return to the ring against a different opponent, according to sources.

The deadline to trigger a rematch was reportedly Friday, two months after the fight. However, Mirror Fighting understands that Tate, 40, plans to fight again but not against the former reality TV star. A spokesperson for Tate said: 'There are other conversations taking place behind the scenes, and when Andrew steps back into the ring, it will be against a name that is going to make a lot of heads turn.'

After the loss, Tate said: 'Obviously I didn't get the result I wanted... At 40 years old, 10 years retired, it was always going to be a big ask. Chase fought well, it's better to have tried and lost than not try at all. I won't sit here and make excuses, I gave it my absolute all and I have nothing but respect for Chase. He deserves this victory.'

Meanwhile, DeMoor has since stopped Fernando Miguel Tamayo Alvarez in the fourth round last month. He held talks over a title defence against former UFC star Darren Till, but no agreement was reached after a terse social media exchange.

Social media personality Sneako posted messages from Misfits Boxing chief Mams Taylor, which he claimed related to a fight with Tate, indicating a potential bout in the US or UAE with earnings of $1 million, plus $2 million for a rematch.
