Ex-Arsenal Striker Biereth's Value Skyrockets Post Champions League

Former Arsenal striker Mika Biereth, sold for just £4 million in 2024, has seen his market value soar to an estimated £16 million following a prolific spell at Monaco. The Denmark international, who left north London for Austrian side Sturm Graz, now commands a valuation at least four times the fee the Gunners received.

Biereth, 23, joined Arsenal from Fulham's academy in 2021 but struggled to break into Mikel Arteta's first team. After a loan move to Sturm Graz, he was sold permanently for £4 million. The striker then netted 23 goals and provided nine assists in 47 appearances for the Austrian club, prompting Monaco to sign him in January 2025 for a deal worth up to £12 million.

His transfer value has since climbed further, with Transfermarkt now rating him at £16 million. However, his goalscoring form has dipped this season, with only five goals in 36 appearances for Monaco. Fellow former Arsenal forward Folarin Balogun has taken on the scoring burden for the Ligue 1 side.

Biereth could feature for Denmark in their World Cup play-off final against the Czech Republic on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Arsenal appear content with their current attacking options, including Viktor Gyokeres, Gabriel Jesus, and Kai Havertz, as they chase a treble of trophies.
