The Henry Charles Foundation Cup, a family-friendly festival celebrating young people, community, opportunity and the power of football, is set for Sunday, August 2, at Toryglen Regional Football Centre. The event marks a new chapter in the foundation's mission to empower youth through sport, community engagement and international connection.
Event Details and Significance
As part of the Glasgow 2026 Festival programme presented with Glasgow Life, the Henry Charles Foundation Cup will bring together youngsters, communities and partners in a celebration of sport, opportunity and friendship. The one-day event centres around a grassroots youth football tournament, uniting young players, community partners, special guests and the wider community.
Penny Adaarewa, founder of the Henry Charles Foundation, said: “This is more than a football event - it is a platform for young people to be seen, celebrated and inspired. Through sport, music and community, we are honouring Henry Charles’ legacy by creating opportunities, building confidence and bringing people together. To do this in Glasgow, as part of the Glasgow 2026 Festival, is an incredibly proud moment for the foundation.”
