Arthur Fery, the last remaining British player in the men's or women's singles draws at Wimbledon, takes on ninth seed Flavio Cobolli in the quarter-finals today on Centre Court. The 23-year-old qualifier, ranked 114th in the world, has defied expectations with a fairytale run that includes a five-set victory over Grigor Dimitrov.
Fery's Path to the Quarter-Finals
Fery entered Wimbledon through qualifying and has since defeated Belgium's Zizou Bergs, Finland's Otto Virtanen, Bosnia's Damir Dzumhur, and most notably Grigor Dimitrov in a gruelling five-set epic. His run has made him the sole British hope in the singles events.
Match Start Time
Fery's quarter-final clash with Cobolli is scheduled as the second match on Centre Court, following the women's quarter-final between Marta Kostyuk and Jasmine Paolini. That match begins at 1:30pm BST, so Fery and Cobolli are expected to take to the court around 2:40pm BST, though a later start is possible depending on the length of the preceding match.
