Body Found in Tesla Linked to Singer d4vd Identified as Missing Teenager

A decomposed body discovered inside an impounded Tesla reportedly belonging to singer d4vd has been identified as Celeste Rivas, a 15-year-old girl who went missing over a year ago. The Los Angeles County medical examiner's office confirmed the identification on Wednesday.

Rivas was last seen in April 2024 in Lake Elsinore, California, when she was 13. The vehicle was found abandoned in the upscale Bird Streets neighbourhood of the Hollywood Hills earlier in September and towed to a lot, where the body was discovered on 8 September after a stench was reported.

Authorities have not determined a cause of death, but the Los Angeles Police Department is treating the case as a homicide. Police have not implicated d4vd, whose real name is David Anthony Burke, 20, in the death. An unnamed representative for the singer told NBC Los Angeles that he has been cooperating with authorities since the body was found.

D4vd, a Houston-born singer-songwriter, rose to fame in 2022 with his viral hit 'Romantic Homicide' and has since amassed over 1.5 billion streams on Spotify. He was on a US tour when the remains were discovered but has cancelled the remainder of the tour, according to TMZ.
