Daniel Dubois backs brother Solomon to become boxing's next big star
Daniel Dubois tips brother Solomon as future boxing star

Daniel Dubois is backing his younger brother Solomon to emerge as a major force in boxing, continuing the family's fighting legacy. The Dubois name has become synonymous with the sport, with Daniel and his sister Caroline both becoming world champions within six months of each other.

Dubois DNA: A Family of Fighters

The 28-year-old former heavyweight world champion credits their father Dave, known as Stan, for instilling the fighting spirit. 'I think it goes back, doesn't it? Dubois DNA for sure. My dad, from my dad to us. It's in the genes to fight, I think,' Daniel told Mirror Fighting.

Thirteen-year-old Solomon is already climbing the amateur ranks rapidly, currently competing in the National Schoolboys tournament. Daniel is confident in his brother's potential: 'He's doing his thing. He's going to be a top, top fighter one day.'

Brotherly Support and Future Coaching

Daniel has pledged to support Solomon's boxing journey and hasn't ruled out coaching him to a world title. 'I'll be there. I'll always be there, but he's going to be a massive prospect, massive fighter one day. You'll see, you guys will see definitely,' he said.

The Dubois family has faced its share of drama. Caroline chose her own path after their father controversially stated he didn't support women's boxing. Despite this, both Daniel and Caroline have become household names.

Daniel Dubois vs Fabio Wardley: The Next Challenge

While Solomon's future is bright, Daniel has his own immediate challenge: a heavyweight showdown with Fabio Wardley at Co-op Live in Manchester. Dubois is unfazed by critics following his knockout loss to Oleksandr Usyk, saying, 'Not really phased by it at all. Let them keep doubting. It's great. That's when you've got to show up and show what you're made of.'

Dubois also praised Wardley's consistency: 'He's beaten everyone they've put in front of him. He's shown consistency. So hats off to him.'

With the Dubois fighting dynasty expanding, all eyes will be on Daniel this Saturday, and soon, perhaps on Solomon as well.
