Television presenter Vogue Williams has offered fans a poignant glimpse inside her now-vacant £4.25 million London apartment, marking the end of an era as she and husband Spencer Matthews prepare to relocate to their new 'forever home' just moments away.
An Emotional Farewell to a Family Apartment
In a video shared on Instagram, Vogue documented the strikingly empty spaces of the luxurious Battersea flat on the fourth day of moving. Addressing her young son, Otto, she exclaimed, "What happened Ottie? Look how mad this looks, everything is gone! Wow." She pointed out specific items like her distinctive orange L-shaped sofa and a blue rug, noting they were destined for storage.
The couple first listed the property two years ago, initially asking £5.25 million. Over time, they were forced to make significant price reductions, eventually slashing the asking price by a staggering £1 million before securing a sale. By April of this year, they had knocked a further £450,000 off the price.
The Journey to a 'Forever Home'
The move signifies a major step for the family. Vogue revealed in a YouTube vlog last December that they had finally sold the flat—the first home they shared—and purchased their dream period property in London back in June. However, extensive renovations mean they will be living in a rental property nearby for at least 18 months before they can move in, allowing their three children to remain in their current schools.
"I'll miss this apartment," Vogue admitted emotionally. "We've lived here for seven years. It's the first place we lived together. All our kids were born here... but we have this amazing house that we're going to love so much. This is our forever house." She credited her degree in quantity surveying for helping manage the renovation budget, joking about needing to rein in Spencer's more extravagant ideas.
The Final Push with Professional Help
Professional home organiser Hazel Burton, who is assisting with the transition, provided an update to her own Instagram followers. "We are on day four of the move," she explained, detailing the finishing touches being applied to wardrobes, children's rooms, playrooms, the kitchen, and basement in the new house. Burton confirmed the family would be fully settled by the end of the week, calling it a "full on week."
The couple, who married in 2018 and are parents to Theodore, seven, Gigi, five, and Otto, three, had outgrown the apartment. Vogue had previously stated, "Its too small. So we're just trying to find somewhere with a little bit more space." While they also own a home in Howth, Dublin, their work commitments necessitate a continued base in the capital, making their new London project a central family focus.
