Damien Mott, affectionately known as Damo to friends and family, has since abandoned his job as a parcel courier to establish his own thriving business, thanks to the guidance of a millionaire couple featured on the programme.

Earlier this year, Damo, along with his partner Becki, a care worker, and their son, participated in the hit Channel 5 series. They exchanged homes and lifestyles with serial entrepreneurs Nigel and Sue Botterill, founders of the Entrepreneurs Circle, the United Kingdom's largest community for ambitious business owners. At the time of filming, Damo was laboring long hours as a courier while simultaneously attempting to nurture a small car detailing and valeting venture on the side.
Turning Passion into Profit with Entrepreneurial Support
Witnessing Damo's fervent dedication to his car business concept, Nigel and his team stepped in to convert that dream into reality. They assisted him in setting up Damo's Diamond Detailing and even provided a fully branded van to kickstart his operations. This support proved pivotal, enabling Damo to focus entirely on his entrepreneurial aspirations.
Now, six months after the transformative seven-day stay, Damo has left his courier position behind and is operating his detailing business full-time. In an update shared on the official Entrepreneur Circle YouTube channel, Damo showcased his new van and smart uniform, expressing how his life has evolved. He explained, "So I've left the job I was doing so I could focus on getting this business up and running and getting it to the best it can be." He added that juggling his previous employment with the business was unsustainable, particularly with the growing clientele he was attracting.
Building a Successful Business with Practical Strategies
When questioned about his current workload, Damo revealed that on productive days, he handles between eight and nine cars, with ambitions to increase this during summer evenings. To attract more customers and secure regulars, he launched a flyer campaign in his local area. Reflecting on its effectiveness, he noted, "These have helped. I've got a few of these out already, and I've had some feedback from them, and I've had some bookings come in from them too."
The assistance from Nigel did not cease when filming concluded. Damo was invited to join the Entrepreneurs Circle, where he has been learning essential skills to build a business properly. He shared, "I've done some regular classes here with your team, and they have always helped me. I'm a new business owner, and it's a whole new world, so it's helped massively - it's helped me get to where I am now."
Financial Breakthrough and Future Prospects
In terms of earnings, Damo disclosed that January was his best month, generating £4,500. He emotionally remarked, "I don't think in my entire life I have ever earned that sort of money in a month, so it was definitely nice, and it was an eye opener into what can be done." This financial milestone marks a stark contrast to his previous reliance on £30 weekly, underscoring the profound impact of the show's intervention.
