Apple has unveiled a major new software initiative designed to unlock professional creative tools for a much wider audience. The tech giant is launching Apple Creative Studio, a subscription service that provides affordable access to its premium creative applications for MacBook and iPad users.
What's Included in the Creative Studio Bundle?
For a monthly fee of £12.99, or an annual payment of £129, subscribers will get full access to a suite of professional-grade software. This bundle represents significant savings, as buying these apps individually would cost hundreds of pounds.
The core applications in the package are:
- Final Cut Pro: Apple's industry-respected video editing software, normally priced at £300.
- Logic Pro: A comprehensive music creation and production studio, typically costing £200.
- Pixelmator Pro: A powerful image editing tool seen as a compelling alternative to Adobe Photoshop.
Additional professional tools are also included, such as MainStage for live musical performance and Motion, a graphics application for creating cinematic 2D and 3D effects with features like Magnetic Mask for object tracking.
Enhanced Productivity and a Focus on Accessibility
The service also promises to enhance Apple's existing free productivity apps for subscribers. Keynote, Pages, Numbers, and Freeform will receive intelligent features and premium content updates later in the year, though they will remain free for all users.
Eddy Cue, Apple’s senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, stated the service aims to make powerful tools more accessible. "Apple Creator Studio is a great value that enables creators of all types to pursue their craft and grow their skills," he said, highlighting the "advanced intelligent tools to augment and accelerate workflows."
Launch Details, Free Trials and Student Offers
Apple Creative Studio will be available on the App Store from Wednesday, January 28, 2026. To encourage users to try the platform, Apple is offering a one-month free trial to everyone.
Customers who purchase a new MacBook or iPad will be eligible for an extended three-month free trial. Furthermore, the company has confirmed substantial education savings, with the software bundle priced at just £2.99 per month or £29.99 per year for university students.
This strategic move shifts Apple's high-end creative software towards a subscription model, similar to competitors like Adobe, but within its own ecosystem. It significantly lowers the entry barrier for aspiring filmmakers, musicians, designers, and students in the UK and beyond.
