Royal Mail Delivery Delays Impact 30 UK Postcodes: Full List of Affected Areas

Royal Mail is currently facing significant delivery disruptions across the United Kingdom, with customers in 30 specific postcodes experiencing delays. The postal service has provided frequent updates in recent days, confirming the impacted areas and outlining the causes behind the service issues.

Nationwide Disruptions and Service Updates

On its official website, Royal Mail explained the situation, stating: "We aim to deliver to all addresses we have mail for six days a week. In a small number of local offices, this may temporarily not be possible due to local issues such as high levels of sick absence, resourcing, or other local factors."

To mitigate the impact, Royal Mail is implementing a rotation system for deliveries in affected offices to minimise delays for individual customers. The company has also committed to providing targeted support to these locations to address challenges and restore service to the high standard typically expected.

Weekend and Easter Service Information

Despite the disruptions, Royal Mail confirmed that weekend delivery and collection services are anticipated to operate as usual on Saturday, 28 March. Parcel deliveries are scheduled to proceed on Sunday, 29 March. Additionally, the majority of Customer Service Points remain accessible over the weekend for customers needing to collect items where a "Something for you" card has been left.

However, customers should note key changes during the upcoming Easter period. Collections and deliveries will be suspended on Good Friday, 3rd April, except for the TD15 postcode area. Similarly, all deliveries and collections will be halted on Easter Monday, 6th April, with normal service resuming on the next working day. Royal Mail typically delivers and collects post on most days, including Saturdays, but suspends services on public and local holidays.
