The internationally adored bakery brand Cinnabon, famous for its signature cinnamon swirls topped with cream cheese frosting, has made a comeback to the UK market in a new format. After all physical Cinnabon UK locations, including high street stores and shopping centre kiosks, closed in September 2025 as the business shifted its focus to convenience retail, the brand has now launched in supermarket bakery aisles at Co-op and Asda.
Timing and Availability
The baked treats arrived on shelves perfectly timed for National Doughnut Week, which runs from May 16 to May 24. Shoppers can now savour the distinctive taste of Cinnabon once more, with Cinnabon Cinnamon Doughnuts and Cinnabon Cinnamon Muffins appearing in Co-op stores nationwide and in selected Asda stores from today, May 18.
Cinnabon Cinnamon Doughnuts
The Cinnabon Cinnamon Doughnuts are available in a two-pack for just £1.80. They are described as light, fluffy, infused with 16% signature Makara cinnamon, with a generous swirl of velvety cream cheese-flavoured icing, topped with crunchy cinnamon biscuit crumbs. The doughnuts were super soft and fluffy, and very different to any supermarket doughnuts I've had before. Plus, they are an absolute bargain at just 90p per doughnut.
Cinnabon Cinnamon Muffins
The Cinnabon Cinnamon Muffins are £2 for a two-pack. They are described as soft, moist muffins infused with 16% signature Makara cinnamon, topped with a smooth layer of cream cheese-flavoured icing and finished with a delicate sprinkle of cinnamon biscuit crumbs. The muffins are soft and moist, and just completely melt in the mouth. The icing on top was delicious, though I would have liked it a little softer to better mimic cream cheese. However, for just £1 per muffin, I was highly impressed and would pay around £3 to £4 for one in a cafe or coffee shop.
Overall, the flavours were perfect, the texture was delicious, and I would definitely eat them again.
