Jet2 Issues Payment Guidance for Passengers with Upcoming Bookings
The airline Jet2 has released an online update addressing passenger inquiries about payment methods for final balances on upcoming holidays. This advice comes after customers sought clarification on flexible payment options, particularly regarding the ability to split costs.
Split Payments Across Two Cards Confirmed
In a recent social media interaction, a traveller named Ross asked Jet2 on X if he could divide the final balance for his holiday between two payment cards—one belonging to him and another to his partner. The airline responded promptly, with an employee named Gemma confirming that this is indeed permissible.
Jet2 explained that to process a split payment over two cards, passengers must do so manually via the Jet2 app or by contacting the pre-travel service team through a designated WhatsApp link. Ross appreciated the clarification, stating he would arrange the payment within the week.
Additional Payment Flexibility with PayPal
Following the exchange, another social media user added a helpful tip, noting that passengers can also use PayPal to break payments into three interest-free instalments, provided they have an account. This aligns with Jet2's broader payment policies, which are detailed on its website.
The airline emphasises that customers can pay for flights online, over the phone, at airport sales desks, or through independent travel agents. Online options include credit or debit cards, PayPal in GBP or EUR, and the Pay in three feature via PayPal, which splits bookings into three payments without interest or setup fees. Group bookings for ten or more people are also supported.
Related Travel Advice on Airport Arrival Times
In separate but related news, Jet2 recently addressed another passenger concern regarding airport arrival times, particularly at Faro Airport for a flight to Liverpool. A customer named Elaine Durrington expressed worries about missing flights due to passport control queues, asking for guidance on when to arrive if not checking baggage.
Jet2 responded that check-in desks open two hours and thirty minutes before standard departure times, but for passengers heading straight to security, arriving two to three hours early is generally sufficient. The airline noted there is no strict rule and that earlier arrivals might require waiting landside. In cases of expected congestion, Jet2 commits to notifying passengers via SMS or email with further advice.
This update underscores Jet2's efforts to provide clear, practical information to enhance the travel experience for its customers, from payment flexibility to logistical support.
