MGM Resorts International has unveiled a comprehensive all-inclusive travel package for Las Vegas visitors, directly addressing mounting complaints about exorbitant food and accommodation costs that have plagued Sin City for over a year. The innovative bundle offers hotel accommodation, resort fees, dining, entertainment, and parking for a single upfront price, starting at just $330 plus tax for a two-night stay for two guests.

Package Details and Inclusions

The new package, available for immediate booking with stays commencing from April 6, provides rooms at either the Luxor Hotel & Casino or the Excalibur Hotel and Casino. Each guest receives three daily meals covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner, redeemable at selected MGM Resorts properties including Luxor, Excalibur, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, and New York-New York. Beverages are fully included in the dining allowance.

Dining and Entertainment Options

Participating dining establishments encompass Excalibur's buffet and TAP Sports Bar, Luxor's Diablo Cantina, Pyramid Cafe, Public House, and Backstage Deli, New York-New York's Tom's Watch Bar, Mandalay Bay's Noodle Shop, and the MGM Grand's buffet and TAP Sports Bar. The entertainment component features two tickets to one MGM Resorts show per stay plus two rides on the Big Apple Coaster at New York-New York.

Current show options at Luxor include the Blue Man Group, Carrot Top's comedy performance, and FANTASY: The Strip's Sexiest Tease. Excalibur offers the Australian Bee Gees Show, the Mac King Comedy Magic Show, and Thunder from Down Under. For visitors with rental vehicles, self-parking for one car at any MGM Resorts Las Vegas property is incorporated into the package.

This initiative arrives during a challenging period for Las Vegas tourism, with both domestic and international visitor numbers declining due to persistent grievances about inflated prices. MGM Resorts International CEO William Hornbuckle acknowledged during a recent earnings call that the company has implemented pricing adjustments following critical guest feedback about value perception in Las Vegas.

"We heard from some of our guests around value in Las Vegas, and we responded by making adjustments to ensure a rationalized premium value experience across all of our properties," Hornbuckle stated. He specifically referenced notorious pricing incidents, including a $12 Starbucks coffee at Excalibur, admitting "shame on us" for not being more sensitive to overall customer experience.

Mike Neubecker, President & COO of MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay, New York-New York, Luxor & Excalibur, emphasized the package's convenience in an official statement. "By bundling hotel, dining, entertainment and parking into a single upfront price, we're offering guests a convenient, turn-key way to explore our hotels and make new memories without any hassle or surprises," Neubecker explained.

He further noted that "Las Vegas has long been known for its diverse collection of unforgettable experiences, and this new option combines many of them together in a fresh, compelling way." The all-inclusive approach represents a strategic shift for MGM Resorts, which recently sold over 300,000 room nights during a five-day promotional sale, nearly doubling their typical pace and demonstrating substantial latent demand for value-oriented Las Vegas experiences.

Hornbuckle concluded with a commitment to price correction throughout the organization, stating "We have gone through the organization — we think, we hope, we believe — and we've price corrected," acknowledging the incongruity of offering $29 rooms alongside $12 beverages. This comprehensive package signifies MGM's proactive response to market pressures while providing tourists with predictable budgeting for their Las Vegas adventures.
