Bali's tight-knit community has erupted in celebration after British influencer Zoe Hague - younger sister of Love Island star Molly-Mae - was officially banned from returning to the Indonesian paradise.
Local residents expressed furious backlash against the social media personality, whose recent holiday behaviour allegedly crossed cultural boundaries and showed disrespect towards Balinese traditions.
The Breaking Point
According to eyewitness reports, Hague's stay became controversial when she allegedly disregarded sacred customs at temple sites and flouted local dress codes in religious areas. The final straw came when she reportedly staged inappropriate photo shoots at culturally sensitive locations.
Community Outrage
'We welcome tourists, but not those who treat our home like a playground without rules,' said Wayan Sutawan, a local shop owner in Canggu. 'Her actions showed complete disrespect for everything we hold sacred.'
The backlash gained momentum when footage of Hague's behaviour circulated on Balinese social media, prompting authorities to review her visa status.
Official Response
Indonesian immigration officials confirmed the ban, stating Hague had violated multiple cultural protocols. 'Foreign visitors must understand that Bali isn't just an Instagram backdrop - it's a living culture with deep traditions,' said immigration spokesperson Ketut Wijaya.
The ban comes amid growing tensions between Bali's residents and foreign influencers accused of treating the island as nothing more than a content factory.
