Expanding Access Along America's Great River

These new routes enhance Viking's presence along the 3,341-mile stretch of the Mississippi River, providing more choices for guests aboard the 386-guest Viking Mississippi vessel. Alternative existing options include an eight-day Mississippi Delta Explorer, showcasing the grand homes of the Lower Mississippi, and an eight-day Heartland of America route that follows Mark Twain's footsteps from St. Louis to St. Paul along the Upper Mississippi, with prices starting from around £5,000 per person.

Leadership Emphasises Cultural and Culinary Exploration

Torstein Hagen, chairman and chief executive of Viking, commented on the expansion, stating, "Wherever they are in the world, our guests are interested in the history, culture and culinary traditions of the destinations they visit. The towns and cities along the Mississippi and Ohio rivers are fantastic destinations that many have yet to discover." This focus on authentic experiences aligns with Viking's reputation for offering in-depth cultural journeys.

With these new itineraries, Viking continues to cater to travellers eager to explore the diverse heritage of the Mississippi River region, from its musical roots to its historical landmarks and culinary delights.
