Beanie Feldstein Expecting Baby Girl with Wife Bonnie-Chance Roberts

Beanie Feldstein has confirmed the gender of her first child with wife Bonnie-Chance Roberts, just one day before their third wedding anniversary. During an appearance on CBS Mornings, host Gayle King asked the 32-year-old actress if the abundance of pink in her pregnancy announcement indicated a girl. Feldstein replied, "It's a girl baby!"

Emotional Reaction to Motherhood

Feldstein, known for her role in Only Murders in the Building, became emotional when discussing her excitement about becoming a mother. "Aww, I'm going to cry!" she said. "I used to nanny and work with kids, but there's something about the way that a child reaches for their parent, in a different way than for their caretaker... And I'm so honored to be one of the two people she reaches for."

Meeting and Marriage

The couple first met in 2018 via Skype before filming Roberts' movie How to Build a Girl, in which Feldstein played the lead role of Johanna Morrigan, also known as Dolly. The two-time Actor Award nominee and the English producer received congratulations from celebrities including Ariana Grande, Amanda Seyfried, Olivia Wilde, Joey King, Rachel Zegler, Billie Lourd, Rhea Seehorn, Monica Lewinsky, Molly Shannon, and Ben Platt.

Family Dynamics

Feldstein's child will be the first granddaughter in her showbiz family. Her filmmaker brother Jonah Hill has two sons, and her late manager brother Jordan Feldstein also had two sons. "You learn so much from watching everyone in your family parent and I feel so lucky to join that," she said. She also spoke warmly of her relationship with Jonah Hill: "[Jonah and I are] best friends. We're super inseparable now, but he didn't really see me as a person until I was about 13, 14. And then he looked at me and he was like, 'Whoa, you're like a whole human being.' And we've been inseparable ever since that day."

Professional Endeavors

Feldstein was promoting her 32-page children's book Teeny and Tilly, illustrated by Laura Watkins, which was released on Tuesday. She also stars in the upcoming comedy Focker-in-Law, the fourth installment of the Meet the Parents franchise, set to hit US and UK theaters on November 25. The film features Robert De Niro, Ben Stiller, and Ariana Grande. Feldstein said, "I was just so honored to be a part of it. Genuinely one of the most fun times I've ever had working on a set. Everyone loves those movies. They're so cherished. And so to be with Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro, I mean! And then Ariana Grande is just going to blow people away. She is going to blow people away. That's all I'm going to say."

Additionally, director Richard Linklater recently provided an update on the film adaptation of the musical Merrily We Roll Along, in which Feldstein plays Mary Flynn. The movie, produced by Universal Pictures, is set to shoot through 2040 and also stars Paul Mescal, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Ben Platt, Mallory Bechtel, and Hannah Cruz. Two of Feldstein's other upcoming films, Leah Nelson's animated drama Tangles and Maria Martínez Bayona's sci-fi film The End of It, premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France.
