Caroline Stanbury has lifted the lid on the X-rated secret to her successful marriage to toyboy husband Sergio Carrallo. The Real Housewives of Dubai star, 50, has said that the libido of her former Real Madrid player spouse, 31, 'is on another level'.
Intimacy as a Connection Tool
The couple opened up to therapist Marisa Peer on her Your Mind, Your Rules podcast this week and spoke about their romance. Caroline said: 'Obviously at the beginning, you're like bunnies and you know, he's 20 years younger, so his libido is on another level to mine. And that's how we also really connect with one another. So that's how, if we argue, how we make up… it's a really big thing for Sergio and I.'
Sergio agreed: 'We try to make time for it because it's very easy to go through life and just kind of forget about, you know, the sexual chemistry.'
Challenges to Marital Bliss
But Caroline did admit that the recent turmoil in the Middle East, not to mention being mum to three teenagers, isn't always conducive to marital intimacy. The Bravo TV star shares sons Zack and Aaron, 16, and Yasmine, 20, with ex-husband Cem Habib. 'In the middle of this [war] with the three kids here, this is not the most fun time,' she said.
But Sergio admitted that he puts intimacy first to make sure their sexual chemistry doesn't fizzle out. He said: 'It's a rule for me I always put into myself to make sure I push or I make an effort to create that space, because a lot of husbands, they don't do it and you lose that chemistry.'
Constant Togetherness
The pair, who have been married for five years, often documenting their lives on social media, admit that they still spend all their time together. Sergio said: 'I believe when you get distance from each other and you do things, you know, like on a daily basis that it doesn't involve the other partner, you get used to it. And I think that's the beginning of an end.'
Caroline's Journey with Ageing and Weight Loss
It comes as Caroline has been open about fighting ageing with cosmetic surgery and Ozempic in recent times. So it was no surprise to see the Real Housewives of Dubai star looking trim and terrific on her 50th birthday last month. In a social media post to mark the milestone, she stripped down to a skimpy yellow bikini that left little to the imagination.
The London-born beauty proudly showcased her slender figure alongside her toy boy husband Sergio. 'This is the look for today. We're off to the beach so the whole hotel can know that I'm 50 today,' she laughed. Sergio then gushed, 'I mean look at her. She looks amazing. How can you be 50 and look like that? It's insane!'
Caroline opened up about using Ozempic to lose weight in 2024 during an episode of her Uncut and Uncensored podcast. She admitted that it caused tension between herself and her younger spouse, as her reduced appetite left her unable to dine with Sergio at times. 'After 40 we all know it's very, very hard to lose weight. But I met so many 40-year-old women going 'How have you done it?' And I don't want to lie to you, I've told you I used Ozempic, which I think is one of the best tools if you're able to use it,' she shared. 'What did Kate Moss say? Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels. There's something to be said for that,' she added.
Sergio added: 'We try to maintain a balance. If we have a big dinner, we try to just fast a little bit until breakfast.'
