During Friday night's episode of Gogglebox, Jenny Newby was left in tears after reacting to a recent episode of The Piano, hosted by Claudia Winkleman on BBC One.
In the clip, an elderly gentleman named Duncan, who has dementia, paid tribute to his wife Fran by performing at Waterloo station. The emotional moment proved too much for Jenny, who removed her glasses and used a tissue as her friend Lee watched on in their caravan in Hull.
Jenny said: 'Don't tell me he's got dementia or that will set me off,' before later adding: 'I'm sorry, I can't,' as she put her head into her hands.
Viewers also took to social media to share their reactions. One wrote: 'I’m absolutely bawling here at Duncan playing the piano #Gogglebox.' Another added: 'Now I'm crying at #ThePiano all over again. #gogglebox.'
A fifth user commented: 'I'm gone this is beautiful #ThePiano #Gogglebox,' while a sixth said: 'Thanks #gogglebox I need to watch #ThePiano now. The generation Duncan is from is so wonderfully romantic.'
