Keith Urban Hinted at Nicole Kidman Divorce to Lookalike Fan Weeks Before Split
Keith Urban hinted at divorce to lookalike fan

A devoted Keith Urban fan, who bears a striking resemblance to the country music star, has claimed the singer gave him a cryptic hint about his impending divorce from Nicole Kidman weeks before the news became public.

The Cryptic Encounter

Dale Whiteside, the Urban lookalike, says the revealing conversation happened during the singer's High And Alive World Tour stop in Saskatoon, Canada on September 15. This occurred just two weeks before Kidman, 58, filed for divorce from Urban, also 58, on September 30, ending their 19-year marriage and shared life raising their two daughters.

Whiteside told TMZ that Urban was astonished by their physical similarity when they met in person. Their conversation turned to how people tell them apart, with Whiteside explaining that at a music festival, a couple had mistaken him for Urban until they noticed he wasn't wearing a wedding ring.

"The fan claims that he had told Urban that the two ways they could be told apart were the wedding ring and tattoos," according to the report.

The Telling Comment

After taking a photograph together, Whiteside alleges Urban made a telling remark as they parted ways. "Next time, it'll probably be just the tattoos," the country singer reportedly said.

Whiteside admitted he didn't understand the significance of this comment until two weeks later, when news broke about Urban and Kidman's separation. The divorce filing cited "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for ending their nearly two-decade marriage.

Fallout and Speculation

The divorce sent shockwaves through Hollywood, with sources suggesting the couple's busy schedules created a "lack of intimacy" that contributed to the surprise split. Urban has been touring extensively while Kidman has been juggling back-to-back film projects.

Insiders have speculated that Urban might be experiencing a "midlife crisis," with RadarOnline reporting he had been "acting out" and making "a string of confusing choices" before the separation.

Meanwhile, past clips have resurfaced showing Urban's cozy onstage interactions with 25-year-old guitarist Maggie Baugh, fueling romance rumours. One video shows him pointing to Baugh while singing "I was born to love you" in Las Vegas, while another captures him changing lyrics to "Maggie, I'll be your guitar player" during a Chicago show.

Despite the divorce proceedings, Urban made his first television appearance since the separation announcement during Wednesday's CMA Awards in Nashville, surprising the audience with a duet performance alongside hostess Lainey Wilson.

The former power couple share two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. Representatives for both Urban and Kidman have not responded to requests for comment about Whiteside's claims.
